political Advocacy dialogue on tax and climate justice in Kenya: civil society perspectives

Date: November 6, 2025  Time: 11:00 AM
Place: Mathare Social Justice Centre, Nairobi
Organizers: POLIFA & Mathare Social Justice Centre

This political advocacy dialogue brings local perspectives to the center of global debates on tax and climate justice. As governments prepare for the upcoming UN tax and climate negotiations (UNFCITC in Nairobi and COP30 in Belém), the event will explore how economic and climate policies can truly serve communities.

We will discuss how to hold governments accountable for public funds, connect tax and climate justice, and reimagine democracy from the local to the global. The dialogue will also develop community-driven policy recommendations to inform national and international negotiations.
